That's really interesting! I think I got it just old enough that I could read that scene as a sort of "coming into one's own power," I think. I wonder what kind of kingdom Sarah would have built if she had been the same sort of fey creature? Because what I got from that scene is that she absolutely didn't need Jareth to build it.
